The last stage of the Longines Masters series, of which Longines is the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper, ended this Sunday in the Big Apple with the incredible victory of McLain Ward (USA) riding Clinta in the much-awaited Longines Grand Prix. The Swiss watch brand Longines was proud to take part today in the iconic Dubai World Cup race day, marking the conclusion of the Dubai World Cup Festival, as its Official Partner and Timekeeper. The eponymous race was claimed by Thunder Snow ridden by Christophe Soumillon, while the day’s major turf race, the Longines Dubai Sheema Classic, was won by Hawkbill led by William Buick. Longines congratulates its Ambassador of Elegance Mikaela Shiffrin on winning her second Overall Crystal Globe. With a total of 1773 points, she finished ahead of Switzerland’s Wendy Holdener with 1168 points and Slovakia’s Petra Vlhova with 977 points respectively. Following an exceptional 2017/2018 FIS Alpine World Cup season, Mikaela also claimed the slalom crystal globe for the fifth time of her career, with no fewer than seven victories in this discipline this season.
